The Dishwasher and Sharing Dinners

So, our dishwasher runs A LOT now. It's crazy how much is runs since we only eat out once or twice a month and we are all home for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Those of you that know me, know that the dishwasher is the most hated of all household appliances for me. I don't know why, but unloading that thing makes me crazy. I'm actually finding some joy in it lately though because it means that we are saving money, spending more time eating together, and it's becoming a habit so I've stopped dreading it! I'm still going to do a cost analysis of it running 1-2 times a day vs eating out. I'm hoping eating out is more cost effective, but I think I'm going to be disappointed :)

In an effort to not run the dishwasher at least one day a week my friend/neighbor Sari and I have started sharing dinners. We just started this week. This week I took them dinner, Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas, next week she will bring us dinner. Sari is an amazing cook, so I told her she can call it quits at anytime!! We are looking forward to her meal next week and I'm so excited I don't have to make dinner one night. It's like delivery only better and healthier. And it's not Digornio :) Thanks to Katie for the great idea. Let me know if you share meals with someone and how it works for you.

I get tired of the dishwasher too, it seems like it's always running. That's a good idea about the dinner sharing. I couldn't do that because whoever was on the receiving side would get the raw end of the deal. I really need to learn how (and want to) cook.

Can I get that recipe? I think you should post some of your recipes on here...you've got some good stuff (or, at least that's what my memory tells me).
Oh, and the bean thing you brought to girls night. That sounds delicious right now. These dang cravings!!!!
