Africa- Day 7

WARNING: I will be referring to our trip as a trip to Epiphany. Just know that Epiphany is in northern Africa. I will not be using our friends full names, just J, R, K, and G or the Gs for the family. I will turn on comment moderation for several months just to make sure we don't accidentally say something that we shouldn't say! Please feel free to leave comments, but I will approve them before they show on the site. If you have any questions about our trip that I can't answer publicly just let me know. We are happy to share details, just not in a way that could jeopardize our friend's new life in Epiphany. Thanks for understanding!

Day 7 started with a beautiful view. It was crazy how much the weather changed while we were in the mountains. We enjoyed a great hike, I was sucking wind and blamed it on the altitude!

The view Day 2....

The view Day 3- TA DA!

The G family on our hike.

A beautiful view!

The kids enjoying the mountain top.

Amelia really liked these statues in front our hotel so she took this picture of them.

Yes I'm a dork, but we saw this bridge on the way home and I thought it was really cool and beautiful so I took a picture :)

After the hike we headed back to the G house. We were starving when we arrived at their house so the boys went out and got us Shwarma to eat. I have no idea how you spell it but I do know it's REALLY good. I'm not sure we even chewed it we were so hungry! Then J & R headed out to do some furniture shopping for their new house and we hung out with the kiddos at home. G did not like seeing her mom and dad leave. Amelia jumped in and helped her feel better by having another tea party in the little house. While they were gone we had started a band with the new instruments we acquired during our shopping in the mountains. Very noisy and super fun.

Furniture shopping is a different experience there, the prices are really high and the styles are different. They did find some things they liked, but only came home with a rocking chair! R was really excited to have this for when the baby comes. The kids loved the chair too.

Before dinner we walked around the corner to the Hanut (again no idea how to spell) and bought some fresh bread and ice cream treats for the kids. I would weigh 300 lbs if I lived that close to that amazing bread- seriously dangerous stuff! It was the first time they had ice cream for the season so the kids we really excited. They had fun picking out their treats- hope we didn't start a new/bad habit at the Hanut :)

After J & R came home we enjoyed some more Canasta time and collapsed into bed for more sleep.
