Amelia was listening to her iPod today (yes she has her own) and came out of her room to give me a big hug. She was crying. She had been listening to What I Really Want for Christmas by Steven Curtis Chapman. It's a beautiful song about an orphan who really wants a family for Christmas, just someone to tuck him in. Well, she told me she was crying because it made her think about her family and how amazing it is and how blessed we are to have each other.
WOW.
Of course I started crying too.
So that's how Ian found us when he came home today, on the floor of the laundry room. Me holding Amelia and both of us crying. Emery kept patting Amelia's head and saying "sorry sissy." She says sorry anytime someone is crying.
Yes, we are blessed to have each other. To have a family.
