Amelia and I spent the afternoon making these fun cookies. I much prefer edible crafts- there's nothing left to throw away!! We made these using 2 bags of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix. I used old school food coloring in red and blue.
I found nesting star cookie cutters last year after I saw this idea from Family Fun. You just cutout various sizes and then peice them all together for red, white, and blue cookies.
Here's a tye-die star. You can't see the colors very well, but we took all 3 colors and gently mixed them before we rolled them out. It makes for cool patterns and Amelia can do these on her own. The ones above require quite a bit of "parent" help.
