-sorry the picture isn't so great... and btw I did not eat the rest of the pan!
We went to a friend's house for dinner several years ago and she served these brownies as dessert. What a good friend!! And then she shared the recipe- even better. Thanks Heidi! Be careful with these amazing brownies. 3 sticks of butter per pan. They are pretty rich so it's hard to over do it- yeah right! Hope you like them. If you don't, you might want to check your pulse- hee hee.
Mix:
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 can Hershey Syrup (old school metal can, you should find it near the Hershey Syrup you put on ice cream it's about the size of a canned tomato can)
1 stick butter
4 eggs
Put in 9x 13 pan and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Let cool and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Blend:
1 stick butter, softened
4 Tbsp milk (or enough to make frosting consistency)
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp peppermint extract
Green food coloring to liking (optional- I don't use this)
Spread this on top of brownies and refrigerate for 20+ minutes
Melt:
1 stick butter
6 oz. chocolate chips (go for Tollhouse on this one)
Spread on top and refreigerate until hard.
Don't you dare do a nutritional analysis on these babies- I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
Enjoy :)
